Let's Play! is a collection of stepwise Braille and audio classical guitar lessons. You'll need a guitar and a footstool. A footstool is something to put your left foot on so you can raise your left leg 5 to 20 inches and be able to hold the guitar properly.
The first few lessons are audio only, so you can start right now! Pretty soon our teachers, Joseph and Jeremy, will introduce reading music in Braille. So the best thing to do is tap our 'Get Music' button and download or order our complete packet of Braille music today so you'll have it when you need it.
Tuning your guitar is tricky, if you haven’t done it before! We recommend getting help at first if you can. You’ll find some tips and a link to a talking tuner app when you click the ‘Tuning' button below.
Let's Play! is a collaboration between Austin Classical Guitar and Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, made possible by The Rea Charitable Trust, Texas Women for the Arts, The Roy F. and Joann Cole Mitte Foundation, and many generous individual donors. The Let’s Play! core curriculum was designed by Joseph Palmer, and Jeremy Coleman, along with the Austin Classical Guitar, and GuitarCurriculum.com education team.
We hope you love it. Let's play!
